Munich Business Summer School
Enjoy the summer of 2012 in Munich and study German and international management! Apart from academic courses, the three-week program includes a variety of cultural and social activities as well as a field trip to BMW's main factory. Munich University of Applied Sciences provides professional assistance for all participants. Bilingual tutors support you in your daily life.
The objectives of the German language and culture class are:
- Overview of most important German phrases, grammar structures
- Vocabulary for daily situations in Germany
- Ability to communicate and read in German
- Learning about the basic elements of German culture and the impact of culture on personal behaviour
The course international management focuses on
- Introduction to international management
- The international management framework
- Ressource and institution-based dimensions in global business
- Market entry options
- Mergers & acquisitions as a strategic management option
- Doing business in Germany
Both courses include at least 40 contact hours: teaching, text reading, case studies, discussions and presentations. You can earn 4 ECTS credits (3 US credits).

The program fee of 1,690 Euros covers tuition for the two courses, accommodation (double or triple room in a hostel in downtown Munich incl. breakfast), basic health insurance, pick up service from the airport, a welcome package, support by the coordinator and bilingual students as well as the cultural and social program.
